Do you remember? A higher intoxication, amazing passionate feelings once visited you as well, and they cast you down, your brow in your hands. To hymnic impulse your spirit rose, amid tears your struggling mind pressed urgently upwards into song. But unhappily things stayed just as they had been: for there began a process of sobering, cooling, and mastering–see, what come of your drunken song? An ethical fable.!
